Ann Budner
Founder and Principal

Ann launched her own consulting firm in 2016.  Prior to striking out on her own, she led the Nonprofit Practice at Carlisle & Company in Concord, MA for 17 years.  At Carlisle, a for-profit consulting firm, Ann was entirely responsible for managing the company's pro-bono and reduced rate consulting work in the community.  Ann also supervised and mentored all Carlisle employees in their nonprofit projects.

Ann has led workshops in strategic planning and outcomes measurement for numerous organizations, including:  Acton-Boxborough United Way, Association of Fundraising Professionals, Concord-Carlisle Community Chest, Enterprise Bank, Foundation for MetroWest, Mount Wachusett Community College's Center for Nonprofit Success, and MetroWest Nonprofit Network.

 

Prior to becoming a consultant, Ann was the Executive Director of three different nonprofit organizations in Boston, Cambridge, and MetroWest. A long-time Board member of the MetroWest Nonprofit Network, Ann served as Chair as well as a member of the Governance, Program and Fundraising Committees.  Ann also served as Grants Chair of the Board of the Acton-Boxborough United Way and as a member of the Acton-Boxborough Cultural Council.  She currently serves on the Board of her synagogue, as Co-Chair of the Social Action and Social Justice committees. 

Ann holds a M.Ed. from Harvard University and a B.S. from Northwestern University.

 

In her other life, Ann is the mother of two and co-founder, dancer and choreographer for Encore Dance Ensemble.
